Floorcloths are paintings for the floor.
Many layers of transparent varnish ensures that they are hardy and durable and with a minimum of upkeep they will last indefinitely.

Traditionally floorcloths were often painted in geometric patterns but contemporary designs can take their inspiration from any source and be suited to a modern interior. The canvas is literally blank in the beginning!

The examples here show a variety of settings in which Sophie's work appears.
